new species of Anthurium Schott (Araceae — Pothoideae)
from Cerro Tacarcuna, Darién Province, Panama

ABSTRACT
Five
new species of Anthurium are here described and illustrated
from the poorly studied region of Cerro Tacarcuna, Darién, in the Republic of
Panama. These are Anthurium purpureoradix da Pena & Croat
(sect. Porphyrochitonium), A. thomascroatii da
Pena (sect. Cardiolonchium), A. variabilis da Pena
& Croat (sect.Porphyrochitonium), A. wounaanense da
Pena & Croat (sect. Pachyneurium) and A. yapense da Pena & Croat (sect.
Porphyrochitonium).
RESUMEN
Se
describen e ilustran a continuación cinco nuevas especies de Anthurium de la
poco estudiada región de Cerro Tacarcuna, Darién en la República de Panamá.
Estas son Anthurium purpureoradix da Pena & Croat
(sect. Porphyrochitonium), A. thomascroatii da
Pena (sect. Cardiolonchium), A. variabilis da Pena
& Croat (sect. Porphyrochitonium), A. wounaanense da
Pena & Croat (sect. Pachyneurium) and A. yapense da
Pena & Croat (sect. Porphyrochitonium).
